THE GAY DIVORCE PLAY is an interactive living room theater ritual of a queer marriage dissolution party. TJ and Luz have invited you, their friends, to celebrate their divorce. And you said you would come...
Audience members will be called upon to bear witness, take sides, and misbehave. Your participation changes the play, and no two performances are the same. Ultimately, you decide: Should this couple break up? Or stay together?
Along the way, we will eat, drink, and consider: What is a queer marriage? Is marriage queer? What does it mean to be monstrous in a relationship? What is queer intimacy? What is love? Why is it always hummus and quinoa at these things? And what does it mean when two people who once loved one another separate or when a play ends: are we a community of friends, colleagues, and families, or are we just strangers in a room?

Alisha Ehrlich
as Luz

Alisha Ehrlich is so excited and honored to join Queer Cats on this adventure as Luz! She is currently understudying the role of Hermia in Tyne Rafaeli's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Cal Shakes and was last seen onstage as both Marianne and Elinor (on alternating weeks) in Town Hall Theatre's production of Kate Hamill's "Sense and Sensibility," directed by Susan Evans. Other favorite roles have included Abby in Amy Herzog's "Belleville" at Custom Made Theatre Company, directed by M. Graham Smith, Mary Warren in "The Crucible," directed by Stuart Bousel, and Eurydice in Sarah Ruhl's "Eurydice" at the Douglas Morrisson, directed by Susan Evans. Let's do this!
Troy Rockett
as TJ

Troy Rockett received a joint MA degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Troy is a Bay Area based artist who finds liberation through honest and radical story-telling. S/he first explored acting through the Queer Women Of Color Media Arts Project. Dyke Central,Bay Area's first Queer web series, is Troy's most prominent screen acting role. S/he was later cast in a supporting role in Jewelle Gomez's Leaving the Blues, 2017; for Troy an unforgettable introduction to acting in theater. In 2018 s/he landed their first lead role inWAAFRIKA 123 by Nick Hadikwa Mwaluko. S/he is driven to partner and delve into daring works by Queer and Trans writers and continues to be motivated by dynamic directors and actors from past production families.
Pam Drummer-Williams

Pam Drummer-Williams is excited to be a part of The Gay Divorce Play! She was last seen In Nunsense, Sunnyside Productions as Sister Hubert. Some of her favorite roles have been in, Ragtime, CCCT (Sarah’s Friend), You Can’t Take it With You, CCCT (Penelope Sycamore), WELL, CCCT (B), The Color Purple, Hillbarn Theatre (Church Lady) Godspell, Pinole Valley Theatre (Pam). When not working or performing, Pam is living vicariously through her daughter, a commercial pilot who is living her dreams as we all should!!
Nic A. Sommerfeld

Nic A. Sommerfeld is a Montana-born actor and playwright who received their degree from Santa Clara University. Nic has recently had a play performed as part of this year’s Best Of Playground at Potrero Stage. They have acted with the California Shakespeare Theater, Berkeley Playhouse, Fuse Theater, Left Coast Theatre Company, San Francisco Playhouse, SF Oasis, The Exit Theatre, Berkeley Rep, The Thrillpeddlers, The Douglas Morrison Theatre, Altarena Playhouse, and The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. They also perform as their Drag King persona Chester Vanderbox. They are thrilled to be queering it up with these cats as they embark on creating new authentically queer theater in San Francisco. Thanks to all those who have helped me to find my own flag to wave.
Nikki Meñez

Nicole Meñez is a director, choreographer, and performer as well as a Bay Area native. She is a graduate of the University of California in Santa Cruz where she received degrees in Environmental Studies and Theater Arts. Nicole works at New Conservatory Theatre Center as the Program Manager for YouthAware Educational Theatre and as Casting Associate. She also wears various creative hats at Custom Made Theater Company, Faultline Theatre, and PianoFight. Directing credits include "In the Heights" by Quiara Alegría Hudes and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Custom made Theatre Company), "How To Be a White Man" by Luna Malbroux & Jennifer Lewis (FaultLine Theater) and "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde (Actors Ensemble of Berkeley).
Kaitlin Jo Rosen

Kaitlin (she/her) is so happy to join the Queer Cats for The Gay Divorce Play. She's been stage managing in the Bay Area for five years now, but despite being a regular immersive theatre audience member, this will be her first time stage managing a choose your own adventure play.
Chris Lundahl
Lightening Design

Chris Lundahl (he/him) is a lighting designer based in the San Francisco Bay area. His designs have been seen in Theater, Opera, and Dance productions across the country. A Colorado native, Chris has a B.A. in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Northern Colorado and an M.F.A. in Lighting Design at the University of California San Diego. In 2016, Chris was the recipient of the Broadway World Denver Regional Award: Best Lighting Design of a Musical for his design of Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre's production of Titanic: The Musical. Chris currently serves as the Design & Production Associate at American Conservatory Theater.
Mary Naughton

Marykerin Naughton (she/her) is a set and prop designer for Film and Theatre. Film credits include production design for The Randomer and art direction for From the Dark. Theater credits include Paradise Street, Kiligan/Jones, and A Life on the Ocean Wave (Exit Theater), and Both Your Houses, Wolves, Sense and Sensibility and Medea at A.C.T. Mary is excited to be working with such a warm and talented team at Queer Cat Productions. Marykerin would like to give special thanks to Kyle McReddie, for all of his love and support.
